東京駅から「かがやき509」に乗って、家族で金沢へ行きました (2025/5/16-17) 。 金沢駅の近くのタイムズカーで車を借りて観光しました。
まず、兼六園下の交差点から坂を登って、金沢城(加賀藩前田家の居城)へ行きました。無料です。
金沢城の横に兼六園があります。兼六園は日本三名園の一つ、廻遊式の庭園で、大人320円になります。金沢神社にも行きました。
坂を下りて帰る途中に、前田利家公の像がありました。金沢は、日本の金箔生産量の99%以上を占める「金箔の街」だそうで、金箔入りのソフトクリームなど売っていました。
宿泊先「ゆ華」へ向かう途中、のと里山海道を通り、千里浜なぎさドライブウェイを走りました。千里浜の砂は粒が揃っていて、水を含むと路面が車の走行に耐えるほど固くなるそうです。車を降りると、塩の匂いがしました。平日だからか、空いていました。
「ゆ華」の目の前に道の駅があり、タイヤを60秒ほど洗ってくれる設備がありました。
「ゆ華」の温泉は「はまなすの湯」という名で、地下1,300Mから湧き出る自家源泉だそうです。琥珀色の高濃度源泉は、2つの泉質を併せ持つそうです。炭酸水素塩泉には石けんのように脂肪や分泌物を洗い流すクレンジング作用があり、お肌に優しい弱アルカリ性。メタけい酸が通常の温泉と比べ3倍含まれており、肌の新陳代謝を促進する「美人の湯」だそうで、源泉掛け流しでした。内風呂は畳敷きでした。部屋は露天風呂付でした。
部屋の冷蔵庫には、ビール、コーラ、サイダー、水がありました。夕飯は塩焼の「のどぐろ」を1人一尾をいただきました。
2日目は、金沢駅の周辺まで戻りました。白山連峰には雪が見えました。ひがし茶屋街(美しい出格子と石畳が続く古い街並み)を観光した後、金沢駅の金沢百番街オリエンタルブルーイングにてクラフトビールを購入。店員さんへクラフトビールのおすすめを聞いたところ、gradually haze 350ml 990円(税込み)を勧めてくれました。フルーティーで美味しかったです。はくたか564に乗り東京へ向かいました。

Stay at Chirihama Hotel “Yubana”
My family boarded the KAGAYAKI 509 at Tokyo Station and headed for Kanazawa.(May.16-17, 2025) We rented a car at TimesCar shop near Kanazawa station for sightseeing.
At first, we went to Kanazawa Castle, the residence of the Maeda family of the Kaga Domain, by climbing up the hill from the intersection “Kenrokuenshita”. It was free of charge.
Kenrokuen Garden is located next to Kanazawa Castle. It is one of the three most famous gardens in Japan and circuit-style garden. It costs 320 yen for adults. We also went to Kanazawa shrine.
On the way back down the hill, there was a statue of Lord Toshiie Maeda. Kanazawa is said to be the “city of gold leaf,” accounting for more than 99% of Japan’s gold leaf production. Soft serve ice cream with gold leaf was sold.
On our way to Hotel “Yubana”, we went through Noto Satoyama Kaido and ran along Chirihama Nagisa Driveway. It seems that the sand there has uniform grains, and when it contains water, the road surface becomes hard enough to withstand the driving of cars. When I got out of the car, I smelled salt. Perhaps because it was a weekday, it was not crowded. There is a roadside station right in front of “Yubana” with facilities to wash our car’s tires for 60 seconds.
The hot spring at Yubana is called “Hamanasu no Yu”. It is said to be a private hot spring welling up from 1,300m underground. The amber-colored, highly concentrated spring is said to have two spring qualities. The bicarbonate spring has a cleansing action that washes away fat and secretions like soap, and is mildly alkaline, gentle on the skin. It is said to contain three times as much methaquinic acid as regular hot springs, making it a “beauty water” that promotes the metabolism of the skin. The spring water was free-flowing. The indoor bath was on tatami mats. The room had an open-air bath. The room refrigerator had beer, cola, cider, and water. For dinner, each of us had a piece of grilled salted “nodoguro”.
On the second day, we returned to the area around Kanazawa Station. Snow could be seen on the Hakusan mountain range. After sightseeing in the Higashi Chaya-gai (an old town with beautiful degoshi and cobblestone streets), I bought a craft beer at Kanazawa Hyakubangai Oriental Brewing in Kanazawa Station. I asked the waiter for a craft beer recommendation, and he recommended the gradually haze 350ml for 990 yen (tax included). It was fruity and delicious. I took Hakutaka 564 to Tokyo.
