10:18東京発はやぶさ15号に乗り仙台へ行きました(2025/4/11)。
座席はグランクラス(飲料・軽食あり、20,110円)をとりました。通常の指定席は11,210円なので、高価です。グランクラス利用者ということで、東京駅でビューゴールドラウンジを利用できました。改札を出ることに少し抵抗もありましたが、物珍しさで利用しました。コーヒー、クッキー、水300ml(ペットボトル)をいただきました。
列車内では軽食とドリンクがいただけます。軽食は和食or洋食で、ドリンクは白ワイン、エビスビール、日本酒「勝山献(純米吟醸)」をいただきました。おつまみとして、あおもり林檎とナッツハーブソルトもありました。
仙台へ到着後、千石(せんせき)線に乗って松島海岸駅へ行きました。遊覧船に乗る前に、瑞巌寺へ立ち寄りました。金箔の豪華な和室がありました。
さて、日本三景松島湾一周仁王丸コース50分(900円)に参加します。船内でグリーン乗換券(600円)を購入して２階席に座りました。島を通り過ぎるたびに、島の名前をアナウンスしていただけます。島の数は約260とか。外洋に出るので、揺れました。
松島海岸駅から仙台駅へ戻り、仙台東照宮へ向かいました。仙台では、東京より遅れて満開だろうと期待していましたが、ここの桜は満開でした。
夕飯は「かき小屋 飛梅 仙台駅前店」へ行きました。生牡蠣、焼き牡蠣、牡蠣フライ、牛タン、ほや刺身、サバの開き焼き、焼きウニを堪能しました。あまり出回っていないと言われる日本酒「十四代」もいただきました。何杯でも飲めそうでした。
仙台駅３Fで伊達政宗の像をみて、家路につきました。

Went to Miyagi and enjoyed Matsushima sightseeing and Oyster
We took Hayabusa No.15 from Tokyo at 10:18 to Sendai (Apr.-11, 2025).
We took seats in Grand Class (with beverages and light meals, 20,110 yen). They are expensive, as regular reserved seats cost 11,210 yen. As Grand Class passengers, we were able to use the View Gold Lounge at Tokyo Station. Although I was a little reluctant to leave the ticket gate, we used it because it was a rarity. We enjoyed coffee, cookies and 300 ml of water (plastic bottle).
In the train, we ate light meals, Japanease or Western, and drunk white wine, Ebisu beer, and Japanese sake “Katsuyamaken(pure ginjo)”. We also ate “aomori semidry apples and nuts herbal salt” as a snack.
After reached Sendai station, we took Senseki Line to Matsushima-Kaigan station. Before boarding the sightseeing boat, we stopped by Zuiganji Temple. There were gorgeous Japanese-style rooms with gold leaf.
Now, we would join the 50-minute Niohmaru Course (900 yen) around Matsushima Bay, one of the three most scenic bays in Japan. We bought green transfer tickets (600 yen) on board and sat on the second deck. Each time passing an island, there was announce of the name of the island. It said the number of islands is about 260. The ship was out in the open sea, so it was very bumpy.
From Matsushima-kaigan Station, we returned to Sendai Station and headed for Sendai Toshogu Shrine. In Sendai, we expected that the cherry trees would be in full bloom later than in Tokyo, and here they were in full bloom.
For dinner, we went to “Oyster House TobiumeｰSendai-Ekimae”. We enjoyed raw oysters, grilled oysters, fried oysters, beef tongue, hoya sashimi, grilled mackerel, and grilled sea urchin. We were also served “Juyondai” sake that is said to be rarely available. I could have drunk as many glasses as I wanted.
We saw a statue of Date Masamune on the 3rd floor of Sendai Station and headed home.
