父と2人で、鹿児島県霧島市にある優湯庵に宿泊しました(2025/04/20-21)。このホテルは天降川沿いにあります。ホテルのスタイルが2つあります。1つ目は「離れ宿 優湯亭」で、外食、持ち込み、散策したり自由に楽しみたい方向けです。2つ目は「本館客室(優湯庵)」で、ワンランク上のお部屋で食事をとり贅沢に過ごしたい方向けです。
私たちは優湯庵に宿泊し、美人の湯(炭酸水素塩泉、弱アルカリ性)に入りました。源泉掛け流し(加温なし)です。露天風呂付き大浴場では、岩から流れる源泉の風情かありました。空を見上げると開放感がありました。お湯はぬるぬるで、まさに美肌効果がありそうでした。客室露天風呂もありました。はじめは少し熱く感じましたが、水を入れなくても入れる温度でした。スライド式の木の板で外から遮られているため、女性でも入れます。私は５~6回入りました。
夕飯にキビナゴと酢味噌、地鶏のコロコロ焼きが出ました。おいしかったです。配膳スタッフの方はフレンドリーで、楽しく会話させていただけました。量は丁度良かったです。高齢の父も大量に残すことなく、安心しました。霧島の夜空は星がいっぱいでした。
帰りは、空港近く「坂留鶏肉店」で鶏刺を購入しました（500g✕2パック）。独特の味をもつタレがあったので購入しました。家に持ち帰り、家族で食べました。
フライトまでの時間で、鹿児島空港ラウンジを利用しました。このラウンジは奥の方の窓際にスペースの広いエリア(4席)があり、おすすめです。また、このラウンジでは、焼酎の試飲ができました。ウーロン茶を片手に、焼酎ストレートで飲みました。
保安検査を終えて搭乗前に、SKY CAFEにて九州産豚肉粗挽ウインナー(550円、税込)とビール(キリン一番搾り)(847円、税込)をいただきました。SKY CAFEは2カ所あるようで、もう片方のビールはアサヒスーパードライでした。
搭乗直前に、西郷せんべいと、串木野名産つけあげ、を買いました。

Stay at Yuyuan
My father and I stayed at the hotel Yuyuan in Kirishima City, Kagoshima Prefecture(Apr.20-21, 2025). It’s located along the Amorigawa river. This hotel has 2 style. One is the solitary lodging “Yuyutei” for those who want to eat out, bring their own food, stroll around and enjoy freely. The other is the main building guest rooms “Yuyuan” for those who wish to dine in a higher grade room and enjoy a luxurious stay. We chose the latter. We took a bath “the hot water of beauty (bicarbonate spring, weak alkalinity)”. It is the hot spring with free-flowing spring water, which wasn’t treated for overheating. In the large bathroom with an open-air bath, the spring water was flowing from the rocks.and I felt it tasteful. When I looked up at the sky, there was a sense of openness. The water was lukewarm and seemed to have a truly beautiful effect on the skin. There was also an open-air bath in our guest room. At first I felt it was a little hot, but it was at a temperature that I could take without adding water. It was shielded from the outside by a sliding wooden board, so even women can enjoy. I took the bath about 5-6 times.
For dinner, we had kibinago, vinegared miso paste, and grilled chicken. It was delicious. The staff serving the meal was friendly and we had a pleasant conversation. The quantity was just right. My elderly father did not leave a large amount of food. The night sky of Kirishima was full of stars.
On the way back to home, I bought chicken sashimi (500g✕2 packs) at “Sakatome” Chicken Shop near the airport. I bought a sauce with a unique flavor. I took them home and ate them with my family.
In the time before my flight, I used the Kagoshima Airport lounge. This lounge has a spacious area (4 seats) near the window at the back of the lounge and it is highly recommended. Also, in this lounge, I was able to sample shochu. I drank shochu straight with oolong tea in one hand.
After security check and before boarding, I had a Kyushu pork sausage (550 yen, tax included) and beer (Kirin Ichiban Shibori) (847 yen, tax included) at SKY CAFE. There seemed to be two SKY CAFE locations, and the beer at the other location was Asahi Super Dry.
Just before boarding, I bought a Saigo rice cracker and a Kushikino specialty “tsukeage”.
